GAME ESSENTIALS: Rams (2-1) at 49ers (1-2) at Levi’s Stadium, at 5:15 p.m. (PT). TV: ESPN. Announcers: Joe Buck (play-by-play), Troy Aikman (color commentary), Lisa Salters (sideline reporting).

ODDS: 49ers -2.5. OVER/UNDER: 42.5.

SERIES: 49ers lead 75-68-3. LAST MEETING: Rams won NFC Championship Game 20-17 at SoFi Stadium Jan. 30.

The 49ers look to bounce back from a prime-time loss last week to the Broncos with a prime-time win over the division-rival Rams.

And there may be no better get-right opponent for San Francisco, which has defeated Sean McVay’s Rams in six straight regular-season games. Of course, the last time these teams played was not, in fact, a regular-season game, as the Rams came back last January to win the NFC Championship and, eventually, the Super Bowl in February.

The 49ers will be without perhaps their best overall player, All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams, who went down with a high ankle sprain in Denver and is expected to miss four-to-six weeks. Linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair suffered an MCL injury last week and will be out approximately eight weeks, and Javon Kinlaw was also left off the game-day roster after being listed as questionable before the game.

Los Angeles will also be missing some pieces on its offensive line, as center Brian Allen is listed out with a knee injury suffered in Week 1 and guard David Edwards is still in the concussion protocol. The Rams also have some cornerback depth issues with rookie fourth-rounder Cobie Durant and David Long Jr. out, though rookie Derion Kendrick, who started the season opener, is expected to return from a concussion.
