Ruth Jeno Is Outstanding Candidate For Red Bank Commissioner – And Response

To the Citizens of Red Bank,

The Special Election for Red Bank will be July 3. This election is being held because a commissioner moved out of the City. Everyone in Red Bank can vote in this election for the vacant commissioner at Large seat. We have an outstanding person to fill this seat, that person is Ruth Jeno.

Ruth Jeno has served Red Bank on many committees for several years, including the Red Bank Planning Commission. In 2002 the Chamber of Commerce named her the most Outstanding Citizen for her volunteer work. Ruth has been married for 39 years and has lived in Red Bank for 13 years.

Sometimes we don’t get excited about an election, especially when there is only one office to vote for. I hope the Citizens of Red Bank will take time to go vote. Remember it is important to vote in this election. Ruth Jeno knows all the issues and will work for all the citizens of Red Bank.

Early voting is June 14-28 at the Election Commission on Amnicola Highway. Regular voting will be July 3. Remember that you can vote for Ruth Jeno where you normally vote in Red Bank. So let’s get out and vote let’s let our neighboring cities know that we care greatly for Red Bank. Hope to see you at the polls.

A Personal Message to Citizens of Red Bank:

On Tuesday, July 3, your City of Red Bank will have a special election. It is to fill the City Commissioner position, vacated by Pat Brown when he remarried and moved out of the city. The two candidates are Ruth Jeno and Terry Pope. As Chairman of the Red Bank Neighborhood Pride Association, I believe that it is very important that we elect the candidate who has interests similar to the goals of the Association.

My wife, Sharon, and I personally support Ruth Jeno for the commissioner position. I ask you and the eligible voters in your home to vote for Ruth and also encourage you to ask your Red Bank neighbors and friends to do the same. Your votes will be very important to an election that probably will have a relatively small turnout.

Sharon and I have grown to know Ruth Jeno through the Red Bank Neighborhood Pride Association. Ruth is very supportive of the Association’s purpose and goals. Ruth has served Red Bank for many years in several volunteer positions, such as on the Red Bank Vision Council, Community Livability and Pride, Red Bank Clean Sweep and other committees and activities. In 2002, the Red Bank Chamber of Commerce awarded her the “Outstanding Citizens Award.” Ruth is an honest and trusting person and a hard worker. Ruth will capably vote her own conscience on Red Bank issues to make our city a better place in which to live and work, now and as it moves into the future.

Over the past 16 months, the Red Bank Neighborhood Pride Association has formed and became active in your City of Red Bank. We have accomplished much in a short time, including inspiring the city government to hire a full-time housing/property codes inspector and establish a fund for demolition of condemned properties and neighborhood improvement. We can accomplish much more to help make Red Bank a highly desirable place to live and work. But we need your support and participation and a working partnership with a supportive city government. Ruth Jeno is the right person for the City Commission.

Ruth Jeno is an excellent choice for the vacant Red Bank Commission seat. She has strong work ethics. is honest and dependable. We can trust Ruth to make the right decisions for our city. She has a background in home building and construction. She works well with others, and has proven her dedication to our city by volunteering her time and talents on the many committees that she has served, including the Red Bank Planning Commission.

Red Bank is a city that relies heavily on property taxes for most of its revenue. Ruth will watch our Budget closely and help insure that our tax dollars are spent wisely. Ruth is concerned about our city, she has worked to revitalize Red Bank and is determined to continue her quest to see that every neighborhood in our town is restored to its former glory. The City of Red Bank will hold a Special Election on July 3 to fill a vacant seat on the five-member Board of Commissioners. Ruth Jeno is a candidate to fill the vacant seat and would make an excellent Red Bank City Commissioner.

I have known Ruth for years and have worked closely with her on several community projects including efforts to establish an environmental court for Red Bank and support for additional funds for codes enforcement to eliminate substandard housing.

Ruth is an independent thinker and a person who has the interest of the City of Red Bank as her priority. I have found her to be one who listens carefully, investigates thoroughly, reviews all options, and makes sound decisions. She will approach her service on the Red Bank City Commission in the same way.

Her past and current work in the community shows her commitment to improving the City of Red Bank one neighborhood at a time. We are fortunate to have someone like Ruth interested in service on the Red Bank City Commission.

Do you live in Red Bank? Well, if you live in Red Bank you know that there is an election on Tuesday. My Nana is Ruth Jeno. I wrote this note to tell you a little bit about my Nana.

I love her very much. She is a very caring Christian. She is also very generous and kind to other people. She puts other people first and she is never selfish. My Nana spends her time helping other people and making them happy. She also has a lot of meetings in Red Bank to make it a better place to live. My Nana makes clothes for preemie babies that I think are very pretty. Her family tradition is sewing. She is teaching me how to sew. I have even helped my Nana make a preemie dress to deliver to the local hospital.

I think my Nana would be a very good commissioner for Red Bank because she is very loyal to her word. She will make good decisions for Red Bank and she is a hard worker. Please vote on Tuesday for My Nana, Ruth Jeno.
