If you woke up early to take in the game between the Denver Broncos and the Jacksonville Jaguars from Wembley Stadium, you didn’t need to wait long to see the same Russell Wilson you’ve seen through most of the 2022 season. Wilson has been a disaster with his new team, and after missing Denver’s Week 7 loss to the Jets with a hamstring injury, Wilson was back for this one.

Maybe he shouldn’t have been. Wilson’s first throw of the game was targeted for receiver Courtland Sutton, and Jaguars cornerback Darious Williams nearly came away with the pick.

After a four-yard Melvin Gordon run, it was third-and-six from the Denver 26-yard line, and Wilson took a sack.

The Jaguars went three-and-out on their first drive, and gave the ball back to Wilson. Which, after a Gordon two-yard run, was not the best idea. Wilson tried to hit a deep back-shoulder throw to Sutton, and cornerback Tyson Campbell was all over that.
