Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley are on the same team now and NBA fans have no idea how this will work

Pat Bev #PatBev

There are times when we’ve seen NBA rivals put their differences aside and come together as friends. We actually see it all the time.

LeBron James and Draymond Green seem to be best friends now. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook are cool now, too. But they definitely weren’t back in 2017, Or how about Kyrie Irving and LeBron? They were actually trying to play ball with one another again.

So, yes. Beef can obviously get squashed between NBA players when they’re working toward common goals and not playing against one another.

But, man. Can that work for Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley? It doesn’t really feel like it.

Obviously, they’re also teammates now. And they will be for the foreseeable future unless Westbrook gets traded. But these two dudes really do not seem to like each other. Like, at all.

There’s a whole history behind the two of them and their beef. Let’s take a look back, shall we?

This is where the entire thing stems from. Beverley tried to steal the ball from Westbrook while making a hustle play.

That play wound up tearing Russ’ meniscus which, obviously, was not good. It wasn’t an intentional thing, but Westbrook still had a problem with Beverley after it.

“Pat Bev trick y’all, man. Like he play defense.” Remember that? What a time.

Pat Bev got Westbrook back, though.

He called Westbrook the “real magician” this year while he was struggling with the Lakers.

He also straight-up called the dude trash to his face.

These dudes, man. They really go at it.

Patrick Beverley has reportedly been traded to the Los Angeles Lakers for Talen Horton-Tucker and Stanley Johnson.

That is, uh, quite the turn of events. These dudes have to work together now? Man. Good luck with that, Lakers.

You knew they couldn’t resist.

This is going to be a fun season. Get ready, Lakers fans.
