Royal Rumble Sensations Kofi Kingston and Naomi Make Their WWE Returns

Naomi #Naomi

For the past decade (or more), Kofi Kingston has become synonymous with WWE Royal Rumble. Although the former WWE Champion never won the infamous Battle Royale, his tactics and amazing acrobats have entertained the fans.

However, this year was different. As Kofi himself revealed, he suffered a jaw injury on Raw a couple of weeks before Royal Rumble. He also got some of his teeth broken when he lost the tag team titles to Hurt Business at WWE TLC.

As fans got worried and wondered if Kingston’s Rumble appearance streak will be broken, he appeared out of nowhere. In a backstage segment with Sami Zayn, Xavier Woods, and Intercontinental Champion, Big E got into a verbal disagreement.

Zayn said he was seeing through all of WWE’s conspiracy and said, “I see EVERYTHING! I have eyes at the back of my head!” Kofi appeared then and there, startling Zayn.

Sadly, Kingston was not medically cleared for the Royal Rumble match later in the night. But he came down to the ring to show support for his New Day brothers and paid tribute to the last Jon “Luke Harper” Huber with their ring gears.

Kofi then gave a speech about brotherhood and the unity of New Day, despite being on different brands. The New Day ended the segment as they said when one person of New Day wins the Rumble, all of them will win.

Former Women’s Champion Naomi has been inactive since September. She took some time off the ring as she underwent surgery to remove a fibroid.

However, the ‘glow goddess’ of WWE returned to the ring as the number two entrant right after Former Women’s Champion Bayley.

The Royal Rumble match will have more surprises in store for the fans. Naomi and Kofi are both known for their acrobats during the Battle Royale. Although Kofi might not take part, do you think we will see the same from Naomi? Let us know in the comments below.
