Rota Chugai pictograph cave tells 2,000-year-old story

Ayuyu said, “Some of it are pretty obvious — we can really tell what they really are. But the others, we just cannot tell, you know, what the representations are. We’re trying to bring in experts of pictographs so they can really decipher what they really mean. And this cave, you know, I would say it’s a million years cave and it’s been occupied by the ancient Chamorros, you know, about 2,000 years. It’s been suggested that it’s associated with the Latte period.”
