Rodri tips Liverpool as Manchester City’s main threat in Premier League title race

Spanish international Rodri has singled out Liverpool as the foremost team capable of dethroning Manchester City from their recent reign of dominance.

Despite City securing five out of the last six league titles and being widely regarded as favorites for this season, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool currently occupies the top spot.

Last season witnessed Arsenal leading the table for a significant portion, only to falter in the crucial stages, allowing City to overtake them and clinch the title.

Despite a substantial summer investment, including the 134 million dollar acquisition of Declan Rice, Arsenal’s recent dip in form, with two consecutive league defeats, has seen them slip to fourth place.

The Gunners now face the risk of losing ground in the title race if they fail to rectify their recent setbacks.

Rodri, speaking on City’s official YouTube channel, shared his insights on the evolving title race and identified Liverpool as City’s primary contender.

The 27-year-old midfielder stated, “If you ask me, our real contenders are Liverpool because they have the experience of winning in the last years. Arsenal showed the level last year they can do and this year they have the experience they didn’t have last time.”
