Robbie Williams baffles Strictly fans as he ‘copies’ Shirley Ballas outfit: ‘Borrowed it?’

The first celebrity contestant faced the axe in the Strictly Come Dancing results show on Sunday as millions tuned into the BBC show to find out who’d stay and who’d go. However, elsewhere in the show, She’s the One singer Robbie Williams took to the stage to perform an acoustic version of the hit. While the performance had everyone on their feet, his bright pink suit instead caught the eye as it looked strikingly similar to the one donned by head judge Shirley Ballas on Saturday.

And Strictly fans at home were quick to comment on the outfit choice, even accusing Robbie of copying Shirley.

Twitter user @BEnjab**h commented: “Nice to see Robbie borrowing Shirley’s suit from last night! Reuse and recycle kids! #Strictly.”

While @Katyajcnes weighed in: “Nawt robbie williams borrowing shirleys outfit from last night  #strictly.”

Tim Buckle agreed: “Is Robbie wearing Shirley’s outfit from Saturday night? #strictly.”

“So I am delighted for Matt and Nadiya, the only person I am just sorry for is this wonderful man [Kai], who has just been so brilliant.

“It was a hell of a lot of fun, I said my ambition was to learn to love to dance, and actually I have seen a whole new side to myself, it’s opened a little door.

“It’s been a wonderful experience and to spend time with such talented people who love the show so much has been a joy.”

However, fans at home weren’t best pleased with Kaye losing out to Matt, or fellow competitor Tony Adams after he finished at the bottom of the leaderboard from the judges’ scores.

On Twitter, Kylie Kyle fumed: “Tony Adams should have been the first one to go. He waddled round like a right wally. At least Kaye and Matt were moderately entertaining for how bad they were, where as Tony was just flat out bad. #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing.”

While @leighnoodlesoup argued: “Doing kay dirty by leaving tony adams in… ouch #Strictly.”

And @YogiBear even claimed: “Oh come on!! Matt?! The fixing of results doesn’t normally start this early in the season…  #Strictly.” (sic)

Strictly come Dancing returns on Saturday on BBC One.
