Rita Ora shares childhood photos amid 30th birthday celebrations

She’s been celebrating her landmark 30th birthday as best she can this weekend, after arriving at her big day during lockdown on Thursday.

And Rita Ora used the occasion as an opportunity to look back on decades past on Sunday, when she took to Instagram to share a slew of snaps of herself as a child.

The Girls singer looked adorable in the images, which showed her at various ages as a youngster as she posed with her dad Besnik and 32-year-old sister Elena.

Captioning the shots, Rita wrote: ‘Guess I’ve always sort of been addicted to clothes even as a kid. So grateful to be able to share these with you guys.

‘Life goes by so fast so live your BEST LIVES even in these times try and find joy even from something like a photograph ❤️.’

On Saturday, the star was gifted quite the impressive keepsake – a video featuring an exhaustive list of stars wishing her a happy birthday.

The singer took to Instagram to share the impressive clip, which included appearances by Mariah Carey, Naomi Campbell, Mick Jagger, Michael Caine, Lionel Richie, and Vjosa Osmani, the acting president of Kosovo – to name a few. 

In the video, a glamorous Rita was surprised by her parents, Besnik and Vera, who started off the proceedings by sharing snapshots of the star as a young girl as she celebrated various past birthdays.

They then upped the ante as one celebrity after another popped up onscreen from their various locations to sprinkle some stardust over her celebrations.

With Stevie Wonder’s timeless classic Happy Birthday playing in the background, such celebrities as Cameron Diaz, Chelsea Handler, Idris Elba, Paris Hilton, Davina McCall, Liam Payne, Sam Smith, and Jonathan Ross also greeted the star.

The video, which ended with footage of Rita performing at past concerts, also included birthday greetings from a number of the star’s non-celebrity pals. 

After watching the clip with her parents, the birthday girl said: ‘That is a wicked video! Wow. Thank you so much to everyone who did that video. You guys have made me the happiest girl in the world. Thank you so much.’

Despite the limitations of lockdown, Rita still spent the day in a typically fabulous fashion, as she ‘dressed up and ate cake’ in a room filled with balloons and flowers.

The Kosovo-born singer, who sadly missed out on a lavish party due to the current restrictions, shared a series of snaps on her Instagram page from the day.

The pop star joked that she was wearing a pair of black PVC trousers that she was unable to breath in, as well as a pair of towering black lace-up boots.

She adorned her décolletage with a selection of chunky silver chain necklaces, while she also heavily accessorised with bracelets and costume rings.

The room Rita was pictured in was heavily decorated with gold and leopard print balloons, while it was also full to the brim with flowers from her loved ones.
