Rise and Fall: Joas kicked off Channel 4 show after throwing water over Sophie

A contestant was unexpectedly kicked off Channel 4’s Rise and Fall in tonight’s episode (April 6). At the end of the programme, Eddy, from Devon, was tasked with selecting one more contestant to join him as a “ruler” alongside Sophie.

However, after the pair announced who they would be taking with them, an altercation broke out. Joas slammed Sophie as a ‘liar’ and threw a glass of water over her.

Immediately after the altercation, host Greg James announced: “Joas has now been removed from the basement and will not be returning to the show.” Fans immediately took to Twitter to react to what happened.

@jonoread said: “Can’t believe you get kicked out for throwing a glass of water #riseandfall.” @MillieSansoye added: “But Joas didn’t do anything wrong lmao it was just water and Sophie proved all Tories are liars, even if they act decent at first #riseandfall.”

@BethsNFjourney put: “#riseandfall That was disgusting! There was no need for that. Sophie May not be my favourite but Joas should have calmed down and not bring up voting.”

@13Atomic wrote: That’s pathetic that #Joas was removed. It was #Sophie with the aggressive body language. #riseandfall

@MillieSansoye said: “I’m actually mad they got rid of Joas for that. I thought he was pretty funny, had a lot of entertainment potential and value #riseandfall.”
