Revist the Sinnoh region in 2021 with Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, arriving late 2021

Today’s Pokémon Presents was all about the Sinnoh Region, and we finally got confirmed Sinnoh Remakes! Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl will be arriving on Nintendo Switch late this year.
The return to Sinnoh promises to be faithful to the original games, with areas capturing the atmosphere and expanse of the places we visited in Diamond and Pearl. Character models look relatively similar as well, albeit in ultra chibi-fied form. With that in mind the Sinnoh we return to will ultimately be familiar to us, but with enhanced graphics and interface, and hopefully without the painfully slow loading times of the previous games. Nothing new was shown off in the game’s brief trailer, but if past remakes like Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire have anything to tell us, we may expect to see at least some new mechanic or area in our new Sinnoh Journey.
The Sinnoh remakes are being developed by ILCA, inc. rather than GameFreak. Undoubtedly we will learn more in the coming months.
