‘Rest in peace Codeye’: Friends pay heartbreaking tributes to Sheffield man Jordan Caster killed in tragic M1 crash

Rest In Peace #RestInPeace

Jordan was travelling in a white Golf with another man named locally as Tyrone Forde, aged 22, when the car left the carriageway and collided with the barrier and several trees before coming to rest on its roof.

Both Jordan and Tyrone were sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

In the days since they died, hundreds of online tributes have been left to the two young men, who were both from Sheffield.

And when South Yorkshire Police formally confirmed Jordan’s death yesterday, Facebook was once again awash with tributes to him.

Mia Valentine said: “Rest in peace Codeye. We love you – always in our hearts.”

Stuart Knott said: “Rip young man, yet another taken too early. Sleep tight.”

Sharon Noble Smith said: “Totally devastating and sad. RIP young men and deepest condolences to both families and friends of the young men taken far too soon.”

And Stephen Charles Prigmore said: “RIP Jordan. Bless you and condolences to all the family.”

Police are still asking any witnesses to the collision, or anyone who witnessed the Golf prior to the incident, to get in touch.

They are especially keen to hear from anyone with dash cam footage which captured the vehicle travelling along the M1 between 7pm and 7.29pm.
