Sky News host Chris Kenny has paid tribute to the two Queensland police officers who were “shot down in a cowardly ambush” and killed in Wieambilla.

“The nation today mourns and salutes two young people who took up a calling as police officers, for a calling it is, a job that involves above all else, service to the community, enforcing the law and order that stands between civil society and anarchy,” Mr Kenny said.
