Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal to sign Sevilla defender Jules Kounde, according to a new report from Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio.
Di Marzio claims that Tottenham have an agreement in place with Sevilla for Kounde. The deal would see Tottenham pay €30million (£25.5million) plus Davinson Sanchez.
The Italian adds that Kounde is now thinking about the move, and that Tottenham are eyeing up Milan Skriniar of Inter Milan if Kounde says no.

Kounde: The total footballer?
Kounde is rather small for a centre back at just 5ft 10in tall, but he has emerged as one of the top young centre backs in Europe since joining Sevilla from Bordeaux in 2019.
The 22-year-old featured for France at Euro 2020 this past summer, and would give Tottenham a star defender to build around for years to come.
Branded a ‘total footballer’ by Diario de Sevilla earlier this year, Kounde is quick, comfortable on the ball and great in the air for his size and has the potential to get even better.

This is understandably exciting for Tottenham fans to read, as KOunde has been linked with some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Paying just £25.5million to sign Kounde whilst offloading Sanchez seems pretty ideal. Sanchez hasn’t really kicked on since joining from Ajax in 2017, and most fans would take Kounde coming in for the Colombian.
Yet La Colina de Nervion claim that Sevilla wanted £70million for Kounde, and El Desmarque suggested that Kounde wasn’t interested in a move to Tottenham anyway.
Tottenham may have paid big money for Sanchez four years ago, but his recent displays haven’t exactly smacked of a defender worth £35.5million.
Maybe Paratici can tempt Kounde into the move, and his close relationship with Di Marzio adds some weight to this rumour, but Tottenham fans should maybe temper their expectations here.
