Joao Felix is set to push to stay at Chelsea this summer instead of returning to Atletico Madrid.
Joao Felix is set to push to stay at Chelsea in the summer and will try his best to avoid returning to Atletico Madrid when his loan expires in June.
Chelsea have intentions of keeping Joao Felix and will try to negotiate with Atletico in the summer to try and come to an agreement on the fee.
With Mason Mount being linked with a move away, Joao Felix could be signed as the midfielders direct replacement.
According to Matteo Moretto, Joao Felix is happy at Chelsea and will push to stay at the club in the summer.
Felix had a falling out with manager Diego Simeone which prompted Atletico to send him on loan, and the pair are unlikely to reconcile.
Atletico are set to want around £105million for Felix but this is a fee Chelsea are not willing to pay. The Blue’s are hoping to negotiate the price down in the summer, and may even offer a player in exchange.
Felix has showed his class since signing for Chelsea and seems to benefit from the more attacking style employed by Graham Potter as opposed to the defensive style of Diego Simeone.
The feeling is that Felix wants to be part of the Chelsea project long term and will push to make that happen in the next few months. Todd Boehly will negotiate with Atletico Madrid in the hopes of lowering the price to sign the Portuguese forward.
