According to a new report, Jade Cargill‘s time with AEW is likely coming to an end.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that, per sources, Jade Cargill is likely “finished up” with the company. Sapp cited AEW sources who noted that Cargill is finishing up with the company, and the July 13 tapings might be her last appearance. The report notes that sources within both WWE and AEW believe that Cargill is bound for WWE.
Sapp also noted that there is no word of an official offer being made. Additionally, it is unclear how long Cargill’s AEW contract is.
Jade Cargill debuted in AEW in November 2020. In her in-ring debut, she teamed up with Shaquille O’Neal to defeat Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet on the March 3, 2021 episode of AEW Dynamite. Cargill then went on a dominant winning streak in singles matches, and she became the inaugural TBS Champion. Her winning streak continued, and she held the title for 508 days.
Kris Statlander beat Cargill in an impromptu match to win the title at AEW Double or Nothing 2023. Cargill took some time away, and she returned on the September 9 episode of AEW Collision. She will challenge Statlander for the title on the September 15 episode of AEW Rampage.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
