Julian Sands was found dead today after being missing since mid-January. The English actor had a prolific career in television and film. His breakout role was in Jame Ivory’s A Room with a View opposite Helena Bonham-Carter in the film released in 1985.

Other notable films in which Sands appeared in were The Killing Fields (1984), Warlock (1989), Arachnophobia (1990), Naked Lunch (1991), Boxing Helena (1993), Leaving Las Vegas (1995), The Medallion (2003), among many others.

In television, Sands participated in shows like 24, Castle, and in Smallville where he played the role of Jor-El. Sands also voiced Valmont in the Jackie Chan Adventures animated series and Purrbles in Bobbleheads: The Movie.
