Red wall voters have had it with Labour, but they still don’t trust the Tories

Labour #Labour

Which one of the gates was most crucial in this latest round of council elections, do you suppose? I had rather hoped that Growlergate might prove to be decisive and we could all go back to discussing it again. Certainly Partygate played an important role and may still do so in the future. Then there’s Beergate, or Currygate.

I commissioned a snap poll from FindOutNow, which suggested that about one in eight people thinking of voting Labour were less likely to do so as a consequence of seeing photos of Sir Keir necking a beer in Durham with the ghastly comrades, as they all sat down to enjoy their woke parathas and progressive intersectional bhunas. Not to mention his rather weaselly evasions over the issue.
