Here’s everything you need to know…

When is Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day Big Night of TV on TV and BBC iPlayer?

You can catch all the Red Nose Day action on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 7pm on Friday 15 March.

At 10pm the laughter moves over to BBC Two for more skits and musical guests in Comic Relief: More Funny for Money, before returning to BBC One at 10.40pm for a very special tribute show, Comic Relief: A Whole Lotta Lenny, celebrating Sir Lenny Henry, hosted by Alex Jones.

Sketches from Red Nose Day 2024

Bringing together some of the nation’s best comics and entertainers, the Big Night of TV will feature exciting sketches, including a very special audition process to find Sir Lenny Henry’s replacement host. Alan Partridge returns with a very special guest on his regional radio show, Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders reunite with a hilarious Red Nose Day message and who will be cast as the iconic Claudia Winkleman in The Traitors: The Movie?

Plus, in a brand-new multi-celebrity sketch, Julia Roberts, Olivia Colman, Hugh Grant and Liam Neeson make special appearances in a sketch to argue it out to be named the most famous face.

Kate Winslet takes to story corner with a late night CBeebies Bedtime Story especially for parents as she reads F***, Now There Are Two of You.

Elliott Stanley, played by Jamie Dornan in BBC One’s The Tourist, finds himself face to face with the steely Clive Myrie in the iconic Mastermind chair. Faced with a torrent of questions he will need to rack his brain to try to remember… well anything!

W1A cast reunite for Red Nose Day 2024

The W1A cast are reuniting to (potentially) find Sir Lenny Henry’s Red Nose Day replacement host.

Ian Fletcher (Hugh Bonneville), Siobhan Sharpe (Jessica Hynes), Will the intern (Hugh Skinner) and Tracey Pritchard (Monica Dolan) reunite to hold interviews with some special guests in a bid to find Red Nose Day’s new host.

It’s been seven years since the W1A stars were last on TV together and there’s bound to be a few awkward conversations, especially when Sir Lenny arrives late to his meeting and comes face-to-face with his potential celebrity replacements, each one more ridiculous than the last.

Stars including Sir Mo Farah, Tom Davis, Richard Madeley and Wynne Evans face the panel to see if they have what it takes to fill Sir Lenny’s shoes. TV legends Lorraine Kelly, Pudsey, Bluey, Chesney Hawkes and Rustie Lee also make appearances, in fact, the queue for wannabe replacements gets so long, the panel will need to get on their Brompton bikes to get to the end of it.

The Traitors: The Movie arrives for Red Nose Day 2024

Suranne Jones, Jonathan Bailey, Catherine Tate and Sally Phillips are set to star in The Traitors: The Movie for Comic Relief.

In a stunning transformation, Suranne Jones becomes Claudia Winkleman in this exciting new sketch for the Red Nose Day Night of TV. A cast of award-winning actors and comedians have signed up to play some of the most iconic characters from series two of The Traitors in a spoof movie version of the hit BBC One show.

The Traitors: The Movie will bring to life some of the most iconic moments from the series featuring some of the nation’s favourite contestants, such as Diane (Sally Phillips), Harry (Jonathan Bailey), Jaz (Asim Chaudhry), Miles (Kiell Smith-Bynoe), Paul (David Walliams) and Ross (Iain Stirling), as well as a very special cameo from Mollie Pearce, playing herself. Catherine Tate will also take on the role of Evie. Or is that Charlie? Perhaps they are one and the same person after all…

As the headline piece for this year’s Red Nose Day campaign, four brave female celebrities head to the Arctic Circle to take part in Comic Relief’s coldest ever challenge.

Laura Whitmore, Alex Scott, Sara Davies and Vicky Pattison attempt a four-day, 50km polar expedition that involves climbing thousands of feet as they circumnavigate the Markusfjellet Peak. They have to use fatbikes, snowshoes and cross-country skis, and pull everything they need behind them on sledges that weigh over 20kg each.

In this unforgiving landscape, temperatures drop as low as -30C and wind speeds exceed 100mph. Frostbite, hypothermia, avalanche and the risk of getting lost in a white-out are the daily dangers faced by these four intrepid women.
