Haley defended her decision to stay in the race despite having only scored one win against Trump in the primary so far.

“I don’t know why everybody’s so adamant that they have to follow Trump’s lead to get me out of this race,” she told Fox News. “You know, all of these people deserve to vote. Sixteen states want to have their voices heard. Let’s let their voices get heard.”

The former South Carolina governor added that there are plenty of voters out there who want an alternative to Trump and President Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic nominee.

“We don’t anoint kings in America,” she said. “We let people have choices and so many people said they wanted someone to vote for because they think it’s a terrible mistake that we’re going with two candidates in their eighties that can’t serve eight years.”

Haley also dismissed speculation that she could potentially lead a third-party ticket for the centrist political group No Labels, saying she is lifelong conservative Republican.

“I have said many, many times I would not run as an independent,” she said.
