Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins suffers torn Achilles and will miss the rest of the season

CLEVELAND, Ohio — J.K. Dobbins’ 2023 season is over as the Ravens confirmed that the former Ohio State star running back suffered a torn Achilles in Sunday’s 25-9 win vs. the Texans.

Dobbins left Sunday’s game early in the third quarter after catching a short pass from Lamar Jackson and taking it close to the end zone. He finished the game with eight carries for 22 yards and two catches for 15 yards.

Dobbins also had Baltimore’s first touchdown of the season on a four-yard run in the first quarter.

  • This is the second season-ending injury of Dobbins’ career. He missed the entire 2021 season after tearing an ACL in the preseason. He came back to play eight games last season, rushing 92 times for 520 yards and two touchdowns.

    He came into this season in the final year of his rookie contract after the Ravens picked him in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

    The Ravens will travel to Cleveland in Week 4 to face the Browns.
