Rapper Kodak Black arrested in Florida with oxycodone, nearly $75,000 in cash

Star Florida rapper Kodak Black is in hot water again, according to a report from TMZ late Friday evening.t

The website said the “Super Gremlin” rapper was arrested in Fort Lauderdale, Florida after cops there allege they found “a bunch of oxycodone pills in his car.” TMZ said Kodak was traveling in a Dodge Durango when he was pulled over for what the police there believed was an illegal window tint.

Per TMZ, when they pulled Kodak over, the cops claim they smelled a “strong odor of marijuana,” and which led to an eventual search of the Durango. That is when they claim they found 31 oxycodone pills and nearly $75,000 in cash.

He was reportedly booked into the Broward County Jail.

Kodak, 25, is a native of Pompano Beach, Florida and one of the most popular rappers in the country. His “Super Gremlin” single made it to number three on the Billboard Hot 100 this year. Despite his success, he has, however, had multiple run-ins with law enforcement, including a 2019 arrest for weapons possession that saw him sentenced to nearly four-years in federal prison.

That sentence was commuted by then President Donald Trump in 2021.
