Rangers troll Celtic as they make Scott Arfield strike against Midtjylland their goal of the day

RANGERS couldn’t resist a cheeky dig at rivals’ Celtic’s expense after their Champions League exit to Midtjylland.
The Hoops’ setback against the Danes leaves open the prospect of the Ibrox side making it through the Champions Path to claim a cash bounty in the region of £40m.

Arfield scored the Gers’ third goal on the night
So it can’t just have been co-incidence that the Gers’ social media team opted to use one of the goals from their 4-2 away win in Herning in August 2019 as today’s entry in their ‘goal of the day’ segment.
The fine away win in Denmark was one of the trademark victories as the Ibrox side rebuilt themselves as a side of continental relevance under Steven Gerrard.
Alfredo Morelos, Nikola Katic, Arfiled and Joe Aribo all found the net out in Denmark, before a double from Morelos and a Sheyi Ojo goal made it a comprehensive 7-3 aggregate win.
And this was against a Midtjylland side who would be crowned Danish champions that year.

The fans certainly approved of their choice of goal, with one writing: “Hahahahahaha Mr. Rangers you cheeky munchkin.”
