Rangers set for Tillman windfall after Bayern pull plug on transfer

Rangers are set to receive more than £1m after Bayern Munich reneged on an agreement for the Ibrox club to sign Malik Tillman permanently.
The American international spent last season on loan from the German giants, with Michael Beale’s side holding a first refusal option to agree a deal at the end of the campaign.
But Bayern have now cancelled that clause for the 21-year-old, who scored 12 times in 43 games for the Glasgow club.
The Bundesliga outfit will pay Rangers £1m plus 10% of any future transfer fee agreed for the player as part of a settlement for terminating the clause.
It means Beale’s hopes of making the attacking midfielder his fifth summer signing are now dead.
Dutch forward Sam Lammers joined English trio Dujon Sterling, Kieran Dowell and Jack Butland in signing on for the new season last week as the Gers boss reshapes his squad to challenge for the Scottish Premiership and reach the Champions League group stages.
They will discover their opponents for the third qualifying round on July 24.
