Members of the far-right Proud Boys joined about 40 other people on the steps of the Indiana Statehouse Saturday afternoon in a demonstration of their displeasure with results of the presidential election.
Protesters waved American and blue Make America Great Again flags as they took turns encouraging each other to continue to oppose the results of an American election that saw Joe Biden triumph over Donald Trump.

“We will not let our vote be stolen from us,” one man said to the crowd. “We the people are awake, and we the people will not stand down.”

Despite accusations, there have been no verified allegations of voter fraud on a scale that would change the results of the presidential election.
The demonstration came just a day after the Supreme Court dismissed a lawsuit brought by Texas seeking to overturn election results in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia and Wisconsin.
Protesters made no direct mention of the lawsuit’s dismissal.
Some people shared stories about how wearing masks has impacted their lives. Others spoke out about restrictions imposed to limit the spread of COVID-19, claiming the restrictions have unjustly affected their daily lives.
People in the crowd cheered when it was announced that about six members of the Proud Boys were in attendance.
The members of the Indiana chapter of the Proud Boys, who did not want to be named, told IndyStar they were at the statehouse to show their support for other demonstrators. They said many of their other members were in Washington, D.C., for similar protests.
The Southern Poverty Law Center has classed the Proud Boys as a hate group. Those in attendance Saturday denied that label.
Protest leaders on Saturday said this would be the last Saturday demonstration at the statehouse.
