After 16 games, the Raiders have a record of 6-10. They were officially eliminated from the playoffs on Sunday after an overtime loss to the 49ers. They’ve had plenty of chances to make the playoffs, but they’ve lost several games in the fourth quarter and in overtime.
The good news is that the Raiders should be rewarded with one of the top picks in the 2023 NFL Draft. As of today, the Raiders would own the No. 7 pick in next year’s draft. And with the team playing the Chiefs in Week 18, it’s very likely they won’t be drafting any lower than No. 7.
With the Raiders likely needing a new franchise quarterback in 2023, that could very easily be used on a new passer.
