Hunter Renfrow’s time with the Raiders is officially over. The former Pro Bowl receiver from the 2021 season will be released on Wednesday, once the new league year starts. The move will free up some cap space but will allow Renfrow to find a new home.

That news was first reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL Media:

Renfrow was a Day 3 pick by Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock during the 2019 NFL Draft. In that same draft, the Raiders selected Maxx Crosby and Foster Moreau on Day 3.

Renfrow has become one of the NFL’s best slot receivers, but he never fit in Josh McDaniels’ offense. And with the additions of Jakobi Meyers and Tre Tucker, he got lost in the wide receiver shuffle.

At just 28 years old, Renfrow still has a lot of good football left in him. He just needs to find the right team and the right quarterback to continue to be productive.
