R-Truth Returns At WWE Survivor Series
R-Truth #R-Truth
R-Truth is back … but he says he’s been there the whole time!
WWE Survivor Series is sponsored by Ruffles this year. Saturday’s Premium Live Event saw heavy sponsorship from Ruffles, including a backstage segment with several WWE Superstars eating the popular potato chips.
Or is it crisps?
Pretty Deadly and Otis argued over what to call the snack, then R-Truth popped up and said they were called Ruffles.
“They aren’t either one, they are Ruffles! And you can taste the meat in them!”
Wait, what?
R-Truth then asked them all to get along so Tozawa could do the Ruffle Shuffle.
This is R-Truth’s first appearance on WWE TV since tearing his quad tendon on the November 1, 2022 episode of NXT. Truth landed awkwardly during his match against Grayson Waller on that week’s episode of NXT.
Truth was helped to the back after the match was stopped due to injury. A week later, R-Truth stated that he tore his quad tendon and needed surgery.
“Hey, hey, hey. What’s up? First off, I want to thank each and every one of y’all for y’all concerns and your get-wells, your prayers, your support,” Truth said. “Yes, unfortunately yeah, I got hurt. I did tear my quad tendon, and I’m at the surgery now as we speak. It is what it is, right? You guys know I’ll be back. I wanna you. Without you, there ain’t no me. I’ll be back before y’all know it.”
Truth ended up having a second surgery in January due to an infection after the first surgery. This pushed his return timeframe back.
“Yeah, I’m going back to WWE, I’ve just got to heal up. I had to have two surgeries. A lot of people don’t know that. I got an infection, so I had to have another surgery. That set me back but y’all know me, I’m probably coming back sooner than y’all think.”
