Queensland’s Chief Health Officer says she expects an “enormous number of exposure sites” after six new cases of the Delta variant of COVID-19 were detected in south-east Queensland overnight.

On Wednesday, two backpacker hostels in Brisbane’s CBD were locked down after a man staying there also tested positive.
A Virgin flight to Perth he was on has also been added to the list.
