Qatar allocated late Monday, February 6th, 10,000 mobile homes for distribution in the earthquake-affected zones in Syria and Turkey, following one of the most powerful quakes in the region.

Earlier on Monday, Qatar sent out relief flights to Turkey carrying a team from the Qatar International Search and Rescue Group of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya).
A 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Southeast Turkey and Northern Syria in the early hours of Monday morning leaving at least 2,921 people in Turkey dead and killing at least 1,444 people in Syria.
Many are still trapped under the rubble of buildings.

The 7.8-magnitude earthquake brought down whole apartment blocks in Turkish cities and piled more devastation on millions of Syrians displaced by years of war.
On Tuesday, another earthquake of 5.6 magnitudes struck central Turkey, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said.
