Purdue volleyball season ends with second-round loss to Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky – Purdue put up a fight against the region’s top seed but the Boilermaker volleyball season came to an end Saturday night at L&N Federal Credit Union Arena.

The eighth-seeded Boilers got 12 kills from freshman Eva Hudson, 11 from senior Maddie Koch and 10 from sophomore Raven Colvin, but Purdue had no answer for Amaya Tillman.

The two-time ACC Defensive Player of the Year had 11 kills and hit .600 with two blocks to lead the Cardinals’ 25-19, 25-21, 25-23 sweep over Purdue.

Grace Balensiefer provided 32 assists, while Maddie Schermerhorn pulled up 19 digs. Ali Hornung added 11 digs and Emily Brown had 10 for Purdue, which finishes 21-11.
