Purdue football on Peacock: Here’s how to sign up to watch the Boilermakers vs. Illinois
Peacock #Peacock
Purdue fans looking to watch the Boilermakers take on Illinois in their homecoming game won’t be able to find it on cable or network TV.
Instead, the Big Ten matchup, which starts at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, will be broadcast exclusively on the streaming service Peacock. The move comes as part of the Big Ten’s new deal with NBC.
The game is the first of two Purdue matchups that will stream exclusively on Peacock, with its road matchup against Iowa scheduled to run on the streaming service as well.
You can sign up for Peacock to watch all of NBC’s Big Ten games, starting at $5.99/month or $59.99/year.
NBC has devoted the same amount of marketing and resources to launching “Big Ten Saturday Night” as it does with “Sunday Night Football.” It has its theme song performed by Fall Out Boy and a studio show from the game site.
In all, Peacock will stream 21 Big Ten football games, eight of which that will air exclusively on Peacock. The other 13 games will air simultaneously on Peacock and NBC.
