PSG must do everything to convince Kylian Mbappe and Neymar to stay, warns Arsene Wenger
Neymar #Neymar
Arsene Wenger has warned Paris Saint-Germain that they could allow Kylian Mbappe and Neymar to slip through their fingers if they don’t secure the superstar duo to new contracts.
Mbappe put in a performance for the ages by scoring a stunning hat-trick at the Nou Camp on Tuesday night, as PSG swept aside Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League last-16 encounter.
And with his current contract with the Parisian club due to expire in the summer of 2022, Wenger insists PSG must act fast and secure the Frenchman to a new deal – or risk losing him for free.

The Arsenal icon warned the Parisian club that they must offer new deals to the star duo
‘Paris Saint-Germain are one of the favourites to win the Champions League,’ Wenger told beIN SPORTS. ‘But as well, now, the case is Mbappe is free to move in 2022.
‘If he does not extend the contract in 2021, Paris Saint-Germain will have to sell Mbappe or lose him for free in 2022.’
The words of warning will already be a concern for the Ligue 1 side, who will be desperate to fend off any attention from Real Madrid this summer.
Mbappe has long been linked with a move to the Bernabeu and a big-money switch could be on the cards if he decides against renewing his deal before the end of the season.

And while the problem of securing Mbappe to a new long-term deal is present, Wenger insists they will need to hand Neymar improved terms on top of that if they are to convince the Frenchman to stay.
‘They have to extend Neymar and Mbappe together,’ Wenger added.
‘And that looks like it will be very very expensive. The question Paris Saint-Germain has to answer is can they convince the two and do they have the money to do it. Because they need to sign them together.’
Neymar, who earns a whopping £600,000 per week, will also see his contract expire at PSG in the summer of 2022.
