Anderson Silva will compete in what will likely be his final UFC fight when he headlines against Uriah Hall at UFC Vegas 12.

Anderson Silva will likely make his final walk to the Octagon, as he faces Uriah Hall in the main event of UFC Vegas 12 from the Apex in Las Vegas, NV. Silva has enjoyed an illustrious career, spanning across 14 years and a championship run at middleweight from 2006-2013.

Wins in that stretch included Chael Sonnen (x2), Nate Marquardt, Patrick Côté, Dan Henderson, Demian Maia, Vitor Belfort, Rich Frankin (x2), and a whole lot more. While Silva hasn’t found the victories after losing his title to Chris Weidman at UFC 162, he has competed against some of the sport’s new generation of superstars, most notably current middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya at UFC 234, where Silva lost a decision.

Silva’s last win came against Derek Brunson a little over three years ago, as he is currently on a two-fight losing streak, recently losing to top middleweight contender, Jared Cannonier. Though Silva has struggled, he has remained a fan favorite amongst fans, fighters, and media members alike as his career comes to a close.

Silva will finish his career with the most middleweight title defenses (10) and will walk away from the sport as one of the promotion’s oldest fighters, as he will enter the Octagon at 45 years-old. He will finish his UFC career in the same city as he started, Las Vegas, likely hanging up the gloves for the final time.

To commemorate his career, pro’s shared their memories of Silva across social media.
