Pride of Guernsey: James Speers

James Speers, general manager of Le Friquet Hotel, has been a friendly face at the hotel for all its customers.

A frequent guest, Marion Willis, from Bournemouth, was determined that Mr Speers received recognition for his work.

‘He adds a personal, family, and friendly feeling to the hotel.’

‘It draws us back, time and time again.’

Mrs Willis remembered when they visited on her birthday and Mr Speers gave her a present.

‘It is the little things like that that really do make a difference for a guest.

‘He is fantastic at remembering details, like which football and rugby teams we support.

‘He is a lovely person to come back to.’
