In a new interview with Fightful, Kit Wilson brought the hard hitting questions to Sean Ross Sapp, specifically asking him why he uses three names.
KIT WILSON: “I’ve got a question.” SEAN ROSS SAPP: “Go ahead.” KIT WILSON: “Sorry, Pretty Deadly here. Before you even get there, what’s the need for the Sean Ross Sapp? Is it an ego thing to get the whole thing in? Is Sean not enough?” SEAN ROSS SAPP: “Yes. So the way I always put it is if people know me by Sean Sapp, they’ve either known me my entire life or they don’t know me at all. I just professionally went by Sean Ross Sapp. Bill Apter, of all people, said, ‘Hey, why don’t you use your middle name?’ I was like, ‘Okay. I’ll do the three name thing.’” ELTON PRINCE: “It’s long.” SEAN ROSS SAPP: “If you all could have a third name, what would your third name be?” KIT WILSON: “I actually do have a third name. My name is Kit Bravery Wilson.” ELTON PRINCE: “That’s true. That’s very true. That’s a good one. What was mine?” SEAN ROSS SAPP: “Elton Danger Prince? Is that your middle name?” ELTON PRINCE: “I’d like a better one, but I’ll take it for now.” KIT WILSON: “Fill the books, get the passports ready. Danger.” ELTON PRINCE: “Danger.”
Fightful then proceeded to ask Prince and Wilson about Lexington, Kentucky, a town that they performed in a few weeks ago.
SEAN ROSS SAPP: “I had the pleasure of seeing you guys in a grueling match-up in Lexington, Kentucky a few weeks ago. You ran the gauntlet. Does Lexington get a ‘Yes, boy’ from you guys? Or is it a no?” ELTON PRINCE: “Well, I’ll say this. We’re yet to find anywhere in America that gets a ‘Yes, boy,’ honestly.” KIT WILSON: “It gets a ‘Yes, boy’ on the way out as we’re leaving.” ELTON PRINCE: “Yep, on the way out.”
Wilson and Prince went on to talk about their least favorite thing about living in the United States.
SEAN ROSS SAPP: “I’m only discovering a lot of differences between the US and the UK; it’s my first time over here. What is your least favorite thing about the US?” KIT WILSON: “Where are you from in the US?” SEAN ROSS SAPP: “Lexington, Kentucky.” KIT WILSON: “Well, coincidentally, we got a lot bad to say about Lexington, Kentucky. The UK is great and I’ll pass it over.” ELTON PRINCE: “I’ll say one thing that I think we struggle with is Americans struggle with sarcasm. I think that’s such a huge part of— maybe not you, Sean Ross Sapp. Maybe not you. But it’s something we struggle with a lot. You might drop in a casual bit of sarcasm, not even a big bit, and Americans will look at you or be offended. It doesn’t translate. I think that’s something that’s upsetting sometimes.” KIT WILSON: “Yeah. It’s a struggle.” ELTON PRINCE: “I have one more, one more. In NXT we had what was referred to as a Trunk match, but for us that’s a Boot match. The back of a car is called a boot. So that was very infuriating for us to be a part of a match that we disagreed with the name.” KIT WILSON: “Yeah. We say [k-air-ah-mel], you say…” SEAN ROSS SAPP: “[K-are-mel].” Note 1 & 2: This bit doesn’t translate well in proper spelling, so I opted for this to illustrate the intended point of difference. KIT WILSON: “That’s wrong.” SEAN ROSS SAPP: “I mean, on our commercials they say it properly. They’re like [k-air-ah-mel] filling and all that stuff.”
KIT WILSON: “That sounds very sensual.” SEAN ROSS SAPP: “Also, caramel’s way bigger here. I see Cadbury is still huge here. That hasn’t been a thing since, like, 1982 in the US.” KIT WILSON: “Caramel’s about as big here as the opportunity we have tonight on Friday Night Smackdown. Thank you very much.” ELTON PRINCE: “What a segway, what a segway.” KIT WILSON: “Thank you.”
