INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Michigan is coming off a 12-0, perfect season, after defeating Ohio State last Saturday in stunning fashion. The Wolverines’ offense came alive in the second half and the defense remained stout to come out top in Columbus, 45-23.
But with success comes adversity. It was announced on Thursday, Michigan’s star running back Blake Corum, would miss the rest of the season due to having knee surgery.
Luckily, the maize and blue have Donovan Edwards to fill in. Edwards rushed for 216 yards last week against the Buckeyes and proved that he can be a lead back for Michigan. Edwards will look to lead the team on Saturday against the Boilermakers.
Outside of the news on Corum, the other Wolverine that won’t be suiting up on Saturday is Mike Morris. Morris was spotted in street clothes during warmups.
