PORTUGAL is braced for a stampede of Brits from Monday after confirming they are welcome.

It is set to cash in on being the only major Euro country on the green list for quarantine-free travel.

But holidaymakers heading back face lengthy delays if they mess up their border paperwork — with airports fearing mega-queues from Monday.

Italy said it will scrap quarantine for UK visitors who test negative.

Greece, Cyprus, Malta, and Croatia have opened borders but are on the amber list.
