Shots were fired Wednesday in the food court at El Paso’s Cielo Vista mall.
El Paso police, along with several other law enforcement agencies, responded to the scene around 6 p.m., according to tweets.
It’s unclear if anyone was injured in the shooting.
It’s also unclear if anyone has been taken into custody.
The mall is near the Walmart where a gunman killed 23 people in 2019 — 22 others were injured.
Last week, Patrick Crusius, pleaded guilty to federal charges in the racist attack. Crusius, 24, surrendered to police after the massacre, saying, “I’m the shooter, ” and that he was targeting Mexicans, according to court records.
