Police believe body found in Port Huron area was moved after death, ask public for information

PORT HURON TOWNSHIP, MI — The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office is calling the death of a 34-year-old Port Huron Township man suspicious after determining the man’s body was moved to the field where it was found.
Deputies were called at approximately 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, to a report of a dead body in a field in the 3000 block of Howard Street, according to a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.
Officers were directed by a witness to a vacant lot, where the body of the man was located.
A preliminary investigation by police has determined that the 34-year-old Port Huron Township man had died in another location and was later transported to the field, the post states.
The investigation regarding the cause and manner of death is ongoing.
