‘Please help her!’ Bake Off fans concerned as Carol in tears after showstopper disaster

In only the second edition of the Channel 4 show, emotions were running high in the tent, as the young Maisam was voted off the show by judges Prue Leith and Paul.
The 18 year old reflected on her exit: “At this age I’ve definitely done something to be proud of and this is definitely not the end of my baking journey – this is just the start.”
At the end of a traumatic day, Carole remarked: “That was an emotional ride but I really need to pull my socks up now, I’ve had a second chance so I need to take it in both hands.”
Paul warned the relieved baker at the end of the show, “No mistakes next time.”
