Port Adelaide star Zak Butters received subtle jeering from Brisbane Lions fans after an off-ball incident early in Saturday night’s qualifying final.
Butters, who was recently named in the All-Australian team and won the AFLCA Champion Player Award, was jogging alongside Dayne Zorko when he made contact to the back of the Brisbane veteran.
Zorko stayed on the ground for several seconds before getting back to his feet.

“Behind the footy, playing with fire there is Zak Butters,” premiership Crow Abbey Holmes told Channel 7.
Asked if Butters would have anything to worry about from an MRO perspective, four-time premiership Luke Hodge said: “When they look at that, it’s off the ball, there’s niggly stuff in finals football this happens a lot. The AFL won’t like the look of it, but I don’t think it’s in the category to get him rubbed out.
“The AFL might get a bit of pocket change taken out, but I don’t think it’s going to be to the severity of missing a week.”
Port Adelaide and Hawthorn great Shaun Burgoyne added: “He obviously bumped him in the back. Not too sure how hard it was and whether some acting was involved, but Zorko got up pretty quickly.”
Butters then copped some subtle jeers from Lions fans, who’s seen the incident on the big screen.
