Planning to bleach your hair at home? Check out the dos and don’ts

One of the easiest ways to bring a change to your look is by changing your hair colour. Which is the reason why many people prefer using hair bleach at home to lighten the colour of their hair and then experiment with different types of hair colours. While it does sound like a fun thing to do at home, it can be quite tricky to bleach your hair without causing any harm to your scalp, your hands and more.

This is the reason why we are here to tell you all about the dos and don’ts of hair bleaching at home. Before we get to it, let’s talk about how the process of bleaching works. The bleach breaks the hair shaft and oxidizes the melanin granules present in your hair.

These granules are the ones that provide you with the natural hair colour, as a result, you are left with lighter hair colour which is easy to colour as per your choice. Bleaching can also damage your hair if not done correctly or done way too frequently. In case your hair is dry or damaged, then you should not try to bleach your hair as it will cause damage.
