Pistons’ Jaden Ivey, Jalen Duren named NBA All-Rookie second team

Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey and center Jalen Duren on Monday were named to the NBA’s All-Rookie second team.
Ivey, 21, averaged 16.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.2 assists in 74 games, starting 73. He shot 34.3 percent from 3-point range.
The 6-4 Ivey was selected fifth overall in 2022 out of Purdue.
Duren, who at 19 was the youngest player in the league last season, averaged 9.1 points and 8.9 rebounds in 67 games, starting 31.
The 6-10 Duren was the 13th pick in 2022 out of Memphis was acquired in a trade with Charlotte.
Tari Eason and Jabari Smith Jr. of Houston and Jeremy Sochan of San Antonio rounded out the second team.
Ivey received 43 first-team votes and 56 second-team votes for 142 points, leading the second team and falling 28 points behind Mathurin for a first-team selection. Duren received no first-team votes and 85 second-team votes, finishing with 85 points, second to Ivey on the second team.
The first team consists of Paolo Banchero (Orlando), who received 100 out of 100 first-place votes, Walker Kessler (Utah), Bennedict Mathurin (Indiana), Keegan Murray (Sacramento) and Jalen Williams (Oklahoma City).
