Pink Test: Ashton Agar, Lance Morris Baggy Pinks attracting bids in pink auction

Agar #Agar

West Aussie stars Ashton Agar and Lance Morris are being shown the love in the annual Pink Test auction.

One of the marquee events of the Sydney Test is the annual handing over of the signed pink Baggys from each team, and while it had to wait an extra day due to rain, it was a special moment as they were handed over to Glenn McGrath.

Each cap is placed online for people to bid on, with funds going to the McGrath Foundation to help recruit and maintain Breast Care nurses.

But any keen West Aussie fan hoping to grab a cheap piece of history will have to think again, with Agar and Morris’ caps attracting plenty of attention.

There are still six days left in the auction but Agar’s Pink Baggy has already passed $1500 with more than 40 bids.

Morris isn’t far behind at more than $1100 and 43 bids despite being yet to play a Test for his nation.

Even Agar’s signed shirt has breached the $1000 while Morris is currently sitting around $500.

Hometown hero Usman Khawaja is leading the bidding alongside former captain Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne, with their Baggys all going for more than $7000.

Pat Cummins is trailing by a fair margin but is still fetching more than $2500 on the cap, while Matt Renshaw and Marcus Harris are the least popular at the moment.

Robbie Williams’ AFL Grand Final suit has passed $25,000.

The South African caps represent a bargain for Proteas fans after a bitterly disappointing series, but there are also items from previous Tests available, including last year’s Ashes.
