Warriors coach Steve Kerr tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals series against the Memphis Grizzlies.

The news of Kerr entering the league’s health and safety protocols broke just two hours before tipoff Monday night. No one else on the Warriors’ roster or staff tested positive Monday.

Assistant coach Mike Brown is serving as the acting head coach in place of Kerr.

Memphis Grizzlies star guard Ja Morant will miss Game 4 with a knee injury, while Warriors Jonathan Kuminga started Game 4, his second career playoff start.

Meanwhile, Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green was grieving for Adreian Payne, a former Michigan State basketball player, who played for the Spartans from 2010-14 died at the age of 31 after being shot in Orlando Florida early Monday morning.

The Warriors currently hold a 3-1 lead over the Grizzlies in the best-of-seven series after their 101-98 win tonight.
