Peru: President to arrive in Yauyos to lead 15th Decentralized Council of Ministers

As part of the decentralization process undertaken by the government in various regions across the country, the President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Tuesday will arrive in the city of Yauyos in Lima region, to head the 15th Decentralized Council of Ministers.
The aim of the meeting is to meet residents’ and authorities’ demands in order to work on a territorial development agenda that helps close the social gaps in said region, which has an estimated population of more than 900,000 inhabitants.
The session will be attended by Prime Minister Anibal Torres, State ministers, the governor of Lima region, provincial and district mayors, as well as representatives of social organizations and civil society.
The meeting will take place at the Education Institution No. 20751 Fray Jose Maria Gago Marin.
Moreover, this session will include the participation of lawmakers representing Lima region, as well as mayors of the provinces of Barranca, Cajatambo, Canta, Cañete, Huaral, Huarochiri, Huaura, Oyon, and Yauyos.
Afterwards, representatives of various social organizations, as well as State ministers, will report on the work and actions undertaken by their sectors in favor of the development of Lima region and its population.
The closing ceremony of the 15th Decentralized Council of Ministers will be presided over by the President of the Republic Pedro Castillo.
