Perth and Peel enter three-day lockdown over Anzac Day weekend
Perth #Perth
Metropolitan Perth and the neighbouring Peel region are entering a three-day lockdown after two positive cases were found to be in the community for a week. The first case contracted the virus in the state’s hotel quarantine. The lockdown will see Anzac Day services cancelled but a Saturday night AFL Game will go ahead, without fans. States and territories across the nation have introduced restrictions on travellers from the Perth and Peel regions. Anyone from Perth or the Peel region travelling to Queensland or New South Wales will be required to comply with WA’s lockdown measures and tested for COVID-19. In South Australia, anyone who has visited any of the WA exposure sites should be tested for coronavirus and isolate until a negative result is received. For WA visitors entering the Northern Territory anyone who has arrived from Perth or the Peel region since April 17, will need to receive a COVID-19 test and self-isolate until they return a negative result.
