Peppa Pig to introduce first multigenerational household as Sandra Dickinson joins voice cast

Beloved children’s TV cartoon series Peppa Pig is set to introduce its first multigenerational household.
Set your alarm clocks as the tenth series will premiere on December 17 at 7:15am on Channel 5’s Milkshake and will feature ten new episodes.
Fans will also be introduced to new character Granny Sheep, voiced by veteran actress Sandra Dickinson (The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Ready Play One, The Batman).
It will initially be a bumpy transition when Granny Pig moves in with Suzy and Mummy Sheep.
In an episode titled Granny Sheep Moves In, it is revealed that Granny Sheep is going to be staying in the attic of their house. When she arrives however, she starts moving the furniture and replacing different ornaments.

According to the episode synopsis, Mummy Sheep is very surprised to find everything out of order when she gets home.
Another episode titled Cardboard Boxes will see Granny Sheep join in one on Peppa and Suzy’s games in the garden when they decide to make things out of cardboard boxes, including a hospital, biscuit factory and a station.
The move follows in the footsteps of Peppa Pig introducing its first same-sex couple last year after a 2019 online petition, which attracted close to 24,000 signatures.
It’s a busy time for Peppa as her latest stage show, Peppa Pig’s Fun Day, out is currently running the at Royal Haymarket Theatre until December 31.
Next year also marks 20 years since Peppa and her family were first introduced in 2004. Since then, it has become a huge international hit, broadcasting in 180 countries around the world.
