Pep Guardiola confirms Haaland’s return as Manchester City faces Burnley

Manchester City’s star striker, Erling Haaland, is poised to return to action in the upcoming match against Burnley at the Etihad on Wednesday, as confirmed by manager Pep Guardiola.

Haaland had been sidelined since December due to a foot injury, causing him to miss the last ten games across various competitions.

However, the prolific forward has recently resumed training and is now expected to make a significant contribution against Burnley under the management of Vincent Kompany.

During the pre-match press conference, Guardiola stated, “Apparently he will be selected. [This is] the first time he is back. We have all the squad, we are stronger. Definitely.”

“Erling is an important player for us. Two months out, but he feels good – we have a training session [today], but apparently tomorrow he will be with us.”
